Darrell Pardy, former owner and co-founder of Bristol Seafood, has been named vice president and chief operating officer of Thos. Moser, the Auburn-based maker of handcrafted American furniture.

About Thos. Moser

Thos. Moser was established in 1972 as a community of craftsmen who could make a living doing the work they loved. Today that community comprises some 70 fine craftsmen and women who are designers and makers of functionally driven, handmade furniture of the highest quality in both materials and woodworking expertise. Each Thos. Moser piece reveals not only how it was created, but also why it will last a lifetime. In testament to its quality, each bears the signature of its maker. Thos. Moser operates six retail showrooms located in Freeport, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco.

Thos. Moser, the Auburn-based maker of handcrafted American furniture, announced Friday that former Bristol Seafood owner and co-founder Darrell Pardy has been promoted to vice president and chief operating officer.

Thos. Moser President and CEO Aaron Moser, son of founders Thomas and Mary Moser, made the announcement to employees on June 1 at the company's Auburn headquarters.

"Darrell comes to our organization with over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience, and some extraordinary successes," Moser said in a news release. "I am excited about this transition because it means the succession of my family's business is in extremely good hands. With Darrell at my side, I will be free to explore and develop better external partnerships with customers, vendors, and local businesses."

Pardy co-founded Bristol Seafood LLC in 1992. Before selling the company in 2016, he grew it into one of the largest seafood processors in Maine, with 75 employees and $40 million in annual sales.

Aaron Moser said Pardy, who has been CFO with Thos. Moser for the last nine months, will immediately assume overarching responsibilities for the operations of the business and will focus on identifying areas for improvement and gains in efficiency.

Pardy, a resident of Brunswick and an active member of Portland's theater and arts community, said he was honored to take on an expanded role at Thos. Moser "and to work with a family and community that I deeply admire and respect."

Other recent additions to Moser's leadership team include Adam Policky, named director of sales and marketing, and Ted W.B. Regan, director of business development and client relationships.
