Pro hockey is returning to Portland, which has been without a team since the Portland Pirates were sold in May 2016 and moved to Springfield, Mass. The new team is an ECHL franchise that is relocating to Maine from Alaska after being purchased by Comcast Spectacor, parent company of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers. Portland Hockey LLC is now conducting an online poll to determine the new team's name (selecting five finalists out of more than 3,800 entries that were submitted).
Which name would you like to see emblazoned on the jerseys of Maine’s professional hockey players when they return to the ice at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland for the 2018-19 season?
